Position Summary

The Principal serves as the Chief Executive and Academic Officer of the College and provides strategic leadership for the institution’s academic, administrative, and operational activities. The successful candidate will drive the College’s strategic vision, promote academic excellence, strengthen institutional partnerships, and ensure effective governance and sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction for the College.
• Promote excellence in teaching, learning, research, and community service.
• Lead the development and implementation of institutional policies and strategic plans.
• Ensure effective management of academic, administrative, financial, and human resources.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
• Strengthen relationships with regulatory bodies, government agencies, development partners, alumni, and other stakeholders.
• Champion staff development, student success, and institutional advancement.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
• Mobilize resources and identify opportunities for institutional growth and sustainability.
• Represent the College at national and international forums and engagements.

Qualifications and Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A terminal degree (PhD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Significant leadership and management experience within a tertiary education institution or related academic environment.
• A distinguished record of academic achievement, research, and scholarly contributions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic leadership and manage institutional transformation.
• Strong knowledge of higher education governance, policy development, and quality assurance systems.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to educational excellence.
