Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Procurement Manager to lead and optimize our procurement operations. You will play a critical role in sourcing, supplier management, and logistics coordination while ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and timely delivery of goods and services.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Supplier Management
- Review and analyze departmental requisitions and determine effective sourcing strategies (local and international).
- Prepare, issue, and manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance and enforce adherence to contractual terms, addressing any non-conformances.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability, quality, and value.
- Maintain and continuously update the supplier database in line with company standards.
Order & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate order acknowledgements and maintain clear communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Track orders and provide regular updates on delivery timelines, shortages, and backlogs.
- Coordinate logistics and identify cost-effective and efficient delivery solutions.
- Facilitate inspection, testing, and handover of procured goods to relevant stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Liaise with internal teams to clarify procurement needs and resolve discrepancies.
- Support procurement initiatives and prepare analytical reports to inform decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and internal policies.
Compliance & Safety (OHSE)
- Adhere to Occupational Health, Safety, and Environmental (OHSE) policies and procedures.
- Identify and report hazards and actively participate in risk assessments.
- Promote safe handling and use of tools, equipment, and materials.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support supplier audits and document findings, including non-conformances and improvement actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support procurement operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Demonstrate a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Solid numerical and analytical skills.
