We collaborate with farming communities, cooperatives, and stakeholders to improve livelihoods, promote sustainable cocoa production, and drive long-term community development across Ghana.

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Project Lead to oversee the successful implementation of community-based agricultural projects within assigned operational areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of community-based agricultural projects.
  • Coordinate and supervise Project Officers and field operations across assigned communities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with farmer cooperatives, community leaders, and key stakeholders.
  • Support the development and implementation of sustainable cocoa farming practices and cooperative strengthening initiatives.
  • Ensure project goals, timelines, and deliverables are achieved efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor project performance and prepare periodic reports, project updates, and impact assessments.
  • Facilitate farmer training sessions, workshops, and community engagement meetings.
  • Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve project outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and safety standards.
  • Represent SafeCrop Limited professionally during stakeholder engagements and community interactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, Development Studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience managing agricultural or community development projects.
  • Strong understanding of cocoa farming systems and cooperative development is an advantage.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work closely with rural farming communities with professionalism and empathy.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to live and work within assigned communities in Assin Fosu or Tepa.
