Job Overview
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our software products. You will design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions while working closely with software engineers, product teams, and stakeholders throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
You will help drive continuous improvement in our quality assurance processes, identify defects early, and contribute to delivering outstanding digital products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and mobile applications.
- Build and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Execute manual testing where automation is not appropriate.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to define acceptance criteria and quality standards.
- Integrate automated tests into Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
- Identify, document, and track software defects through to resolution.
- Analyse test results and recommend improvements to product quality and testing processes.
- Review application requirements and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective.
- Support Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance testing efficiency and software quality.
- Stay up to date with emerging automation tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
Education
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience
The successful candidate should possess:
- At least seven (7) years of experience in software test automation.
- Proven experience using Playwright or similar web automation testing frameworks.
- Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality testing solutions for complex software applications.
Technical Skills
Candidates should have strong knowledge and practical experience in:
- Playwright
- JavaScript
- TypeScript
- Automated Testing
- Manual Testing
- Mobile Application Testing
- Continuous Integration (CI)
- Version Control (Git)
- Agile Methodologies
