We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Vice Principal to support the Principal in leading school operations, strengthening academic standards, and promoting a positive culture of learning and excellence.
Job Overview
As the Vice Principal, you will work closely with the Principal to provide effective academic and operational leadership across the school. You will support curriculum delivery, supervise teaching and learning activities, promote staff development, manage student welfare, and ensure the smooth running of daily school operations.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, sound educational judgement, and a passion for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
School Leadership & Administration
You will:
- Support the Principal in managing the overall administration and operations of the school.
- Assist in implementing school policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
- Provide leadership support to ensure the effective delivery of school programmes.
- Act on behalf of the Principal when required.
Teaching & Learning Leadership
You will:
- Supervise teaching and learning activities to maintain high academic standards.
- Monitor curriculum implementation and ensure alignment with school objectives.
- Support teachers in delivering effective and engaging learning experiences.
- Promote continuous improvement in teaching practices and student outcomes.
Staff Development & Performance Management
You will:
- Coordinate teacher appraisal processes and support performance improvement initiatives.
- Identify professional development needs and encourage continuous learning among staff.
- Provide guidance and support to teachers to enhance classroom effectiveness.
- Promote teamwork, collaboration, and accountability among staff members.
Student Welfare & Discipline
You will:
- Support the management of student discipline and behaviour.
- Promote student wellbeing and a safe, inclusive school environment.
- Work with teachers, parents, and support teams to address student needs effectively.
- Encourage positive values, responsibility, and respect among students.
Reporting & Planning
You will:
- Prepare academic reports, schedules, and school calendars.
- Support data collection and analysis to inform school improvement decisions.
- Assist in coordinating academic activities, events, and programmes.
Education & Professional Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, School Administration, or a related field.
- A recognized professional teaching qualification.
Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- A minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience within an international curriculum school environment.
- Proven experience supporting school administration, curriculum management, and teacher development.
- Strong understanding of educational leadership principles and best practices.
