Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Section Operator II to join our Tarkwa operations team. The successful candidate will manage plant operations, ensure safety standards are maintained, and support operational efficiency through effective planning and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and manage assigned sections of the processing plant efficiently and safely.
Anticipate operational challenges, plan accordingly, and respond flexibly to changing circumstances.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and hazards in the work environment.
Collaborate effectively with colleagues to achieve operational targets.
Maintain plant tools and equipment in optimal condition.
Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forms.
Operate light vehicles safely; assist with mobile equipment operations if certified.
Perform additional duties as assigned to meet operational objectives.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Minimum Senior High School Certificate (SHS) or equivalent.
Experience: At least three (3) years in a similar position within a processing plant.
Skills & Knowledge:
Strong understanding of processing plant operations and tools.
Ability to anticipate, plan, and react quickly to operational changes.
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal, written, and listening abilities.
Competence in identifying and rectifying risks and hazards.
Other Requirements:
Valid Ghanaian driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicles.
Mobile equipment license and mine permit are an added advantage.
Medical fitness for the role and work environment.
