Role Summary
The Senior Accountant will manage end-to-end accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal financial controls. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain inventory and cost integrity, and support continuous improvement of finance processes while working closely with procurement, production, warehouse, retail, and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Accounting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
- Post and reconcile all accounting entries in a timely manner
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Support statutory reporting and external audit preparation
Inventory & Cost Accounting
- Oversee inventory accounting across raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods
- Reconcile inventory movements between warehouse, production, and finance records
- Support product costing, cost allocation, and COGS calculations
- Assist with inventory valuation processes and periodic stock counts
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data across systems
Payables, Receivables & Treasury Support
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable balances
- Ensure all transactions are properly supported with documentation
- Support payment processing and proof-of-payment tracking
- Assist with bank reconciliations and cash monitoring activities
Tax, Compliance & External Audit
- Prepare and support statutory tax filings and related schedules
- Ensure compliance with tax, SSNIT, and regulatory obligations
- Support tax reconciliations and resolution of queries
- Coordinate external audit processes and respond to audit requests
- Implement audit recommendations and strengthen compliance practices
Internal Controls & Process Improvement
- Support implementation and enforcement of finance controls and procedures
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and approval frameworks
- Strengthen accounting systems, workflows, and reporting structures
- Document finance processes to improve transparency and efficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with procurement, production, warehouse, retail/sales, and logistics teams
- Ensure operational data is accurately reflected in financial records
- Support alignment between operational activities and financial reporting
