Job Description

The Senior Administrative Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating advanced administrative functions to ensure efficient organizational operations. This role involves managing office systems, supervising administrative staff, supporting executive leadership, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of handling complex administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily administrative operations and ensure smooth workflow across departments
  • Develop, implement, and maintain administrative policies and procedures
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate administrative staff performance
  • Manage office budgets, procurement processes, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate high-level meetings, events, and executive schedules
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence for senior management
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements
  • Serve as a liaison between departments, management, and external stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficiency strategies
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or a related field
  • Experience: Minimum of 7–12 years of progressive administrative experience, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory or senior role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in office management software and tools (e.g., MS Office Suite, ERP systems)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
