The Role

Asante Gold Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Applications Specialist – ERP to join our team in Bibiani. In this role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, ensuring efficient application support, process optimization, reporting excellence, and continuous system improvement across the business.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting operational efficiency, enhancing business processes, and driving ERP system performance within a dynamic mining environment.

Key Responsibilities

ERP Application Ownership & Support Leadership

You will:

  • Serve as the primary internal functional owner and support lead for the PRONTO Xi v780 ERP system.
  • Provide day-to-day ERP application support across Finance, Supply Chain & Procurement, Plant Maintenance, Asset Management, Inventory & Warehouse, Project Costing, and Operational Reporting functions.
  • Manage and prioritize ERP incidents, service requests, and problem resolution activities to ensure timely support delivery.
  • Coordinate support activities with external PRONTO ERP support providers and vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed service level agreements (SLAs), support standards, and internal procedures.

Business Analysis & Continuous Improvement

You will:

  • Partner with business units to analyse operational processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Recommend and implement ERP enhancements that improve efficiency, reporting, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Translate business requirements into practical ERP system solutions and functional improvements.
  • Support process optimization initiatives and coordinate system testing activities for upgrades and enhancements.

ERP Configuration & Functional Administration

You will:

  • Configure and maintain ERP modules, workflows, user roles, approval workflows, and system parameters within PRONTO Xi.
  • Maintain master data structures, access controls, and functional settings.
  • Deliver minor system enhancements and functional customizations where required.
  • Maintain accurate ERP system documentation and configuration records.

Reporting & Analytics

You will:

  • Support the development of operational and financial reports within PRONTO Xi.
  • Contribute to business intelligence dashboards and operational reporting tools.
  • Provide analytical insights to support inventory management, procurement, maintenance, and cost control functions.
  • Enable informed decision-making through effective ERP reporting and analytics capabilities.

User Support & Training Leadership

You will:

  • Lead and support the ERP super-user network across corporate and operational sites.
  • Develop and maintain user training materials, guides, and refresher programmes.
  • Deliver ongoing ERP training and knowledge transfer sessions for business users and new employees.
  • Promote best practices and standardized ERP usage across the organisation.

Change & Enhancement Management

You will:

  • Assess, prioritize, and manage ERP enhancement and change requests.
  • Support ERP governance and change management processes.
  • Participate in ERP roadmap planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate testing activities for upgrades, patches, and new module deployments.

Vendor & Integration Coordination

You will:

  • Maintain effective relationships with ERP implementation and support partners.
  • Support integrations between PRONTO Xi and third-party systems including fleet management, procurement, maintenance planning, and Payroll/HR systems.
  • Monitor integration performance and coordinate issue resolution activities.

Post-Go-Live Optimization & Stabilization

You will:

  • Lead ERP stabilization and hypercare activities following implementations or major system releases.
  • Monitor user adoption and system performance metrics.
  • Identify recurring issues and implement long-term optimization strategies.
  • Support ongoing ERP maturity and operational improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management or authorized delegates.

Qualifications and Experience

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • ERP certifications or vendor training in PRONTO Xi, SAP, JD Edwards, IFS, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Business Analysis certification such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, or Agile BA will be an added advantage.
  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in enterprise application support.
  • At least five (5) years of hands-on ERP support experience within a live production environment.
  • Experience within mining, manufacturing, logistics, or other asset-intensive industries.
  • Strong ERP functional configuration and support expertise.
  • Experience supporting operational and site-based teams effectively.
  • Functional knowledge across Financials, Procurement & Inventory, Plant Maintenance, Projects & Costing, and Warehouse Management.
  • Strong technical understanding of ERP integrations, APIs, SQL, reporting tools, workflow configuration, and role-based security models.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
