Position Summary
The Senior HSE and First Aid Trainer leads the design, delivery, and evaluation of Health, Safety, Environment (HSE), and First Aid training programs across the organization. The role strengthens regulatory compliance, enhances workforce competency, and promotes a proactive safety culture within mining operations.
The successful candidate demonstrates strong technical HSE knowledge, practical field experience, and the ability to inspire safe behaviors at all levels of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior HSE and First Aid Trainer will:

Design and deliver comprehensive HSE and First Aid training programs for employees and contractors.

Conduct risk-based safety training aligned with company policies and regulatory standards.

Provide certified First Aid training, including emergency response procedures and practical simulations.

Perform training needs assessments and develop competency-based training plans.

Maintain accurate training records, certifications, and compliance documentation.

Evaluate training effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Support incident investigations by identifying training gaps and recommending corrective actions.

Promote environmental awareness and safe work practices across all departments.

Collaborate with operational teams to embed HSE best practices in daily activities.

Monitor industry standards and integrate relevant updates into training programs.

Perform any other duties assigned to strengthen the company’s safety culture.
Educational & Professional Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Professional HSE certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent).

Recognized First Aid Trainer certification.

Proven experience delivering HSE and First Aid training within the mining, industrial, or heavy-duty environment.

Strong knowledge of occupational health, safety regulations, and environmental compliance standards.

Excellent facilitation, presentation, and communication skills.
