Key Responsibilities
The Senior Lecturer will:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality lectures in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
- Develop, review, and update curriculum content in line with academic and professional standards
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and dissertations
- Conduct and publish research in reputable peer-reviewed journals
- Participate actively in departmental administration and faculty governance
- Mentor junior academic staff and support student academic development
- Contribute to practical laboratory training and clinical teaching where applicable
- Support academic quality assurance and accreditation processes
Qualification Required & Experience
Applicants must meet one of the following minimum requirements:
- Hold a PhD in Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, or a closely related discipline, OR
- Be a clinician with a Membership certificate from a recognised professional body, AND
- Have a minimum of six (6) publications in peer-reviewed journals
Additional requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in teaching and research at tertiary level
- Strong record of academic contribution and scholarly engagement
- Evidence of leadership in academic or clinical settings will be an advantage
