Position Summary

EduSpots Ghana is seeking a passionate and experienced Gender Equity and Child Rights Education Manager to lead the development and implementation of innovative programmes that promote gender equity, child rights, safeguarding, and inclusive citizenship education. The successful candidate will strengthen organisational strategies, support programme delivery, build partnerships, and empower educators, volunteers, and communities to create safe and inclusive learning environments where every learner can succeed.

Key Responsibilities

Programme Leadership and Development

The successful candidate will:

• Lead the development of the Keeping Spots Safe education badge in collaboration with the Digital Skills and Innovation Manager and the Global Head of Operations.
• Co-create and implement organisation-wide strategies that protect learners’ rights and ensure children’s voices actively shape programme design and delivery.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive female leadership support strategy across the EduSpots network.
• Review and strengthen monthly gender equity and inclusion learning challenges using learner-centred, play-based, and practical educational approaches.
• Provide high-quality coaching and constructive feedback to Catalysts to enhance programme delivery and learner outcomes.

Gender Equity, Inclusion and Safeguarding

• Lead initiatives that promote gender equity, inclusion, child rights, safeguarding, citizenship education, and youth leadership.
• Ensure child protection and safeguarding policies are consistently implemented across all programmes and activities.
• Promote inclusive learning environments that uphold the rights, dignity, and wellbeing of every learner.

Team Leadership and Capacity Building

• Line manage the Gender Equity and Inclusion Coordinator and support the effective implementation of the Ignite Equity Clubs programme across participating communities.
• Mentor staff, volunteers, and community leaders to strengthen programme quality and impact.
• Design and facilitate engaging online and face-to-face learning sessions, workshops, and educational resources.

Digital Learning and Innovation

• Support the effective use and ongoing development of the EduSpots App to enhance learning in gender equity, inclusion, safeguarding, and Keeping Spots Safe initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal teams to integrate innovative digital learning approaches into programme delivery.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning

• Support the implementation of monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks to measure programme outcomes and impact.
• Collect, analyse, and report data relating to gender equity, inclusion, and child rights education programmes.
• Produce evidence-based insights to support continuous programme improvement.

Partnerships, Advocacy and Communications

• Support fundraising initiatives and partnership development related to gender equity, inclusion, and child rights education.
• Contribute compelling stories, reports, and communications that showcase programme achievements and impact.
• Support the EduCitizens community of citizenship educators across 14 countries by facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing.

Organisational Leadership

• Contribute actively to the leadership and strategic direction of EduSpots as a member of the management team.
• Collaborate across departments to advance the organisation’s mission and long-term goals.
• Perform any other duties reasonably assigned in support of the organisation’s work.
• Uphold all organisational policies, procedures, and standards as outlined in the Staff and Volunteers’ Handbook.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must possess:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Development Studies, Psychology, Gender Studies, Political Science, or a related field.
• A minimum of two (2) years’ teaching or programme experience in a relevant subject area.
• Demonstrated experience designing or leading programmes focused on gender equity, child rights education, safeguarding, inclusion, or citizenship education.
• Experience working with volunteers and/or rural communities within an educational context.
• Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and inclusive education principles.
