Role Purpose

The Senior Resource Geologist will support resource evaluation, geological modelling, and database management activities to ensure accurate mineral resource estimation and reporting. The successful candidate will contribute to geological data analysis, quality assurance processes, and field mapping operations while supporting operational and exploration objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support resource modelling, geological interpretation, and mineral resource estimation activities.
• Conduct and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of geological data.
• Assist in geostatistical analysis and resource evaluation activities.
• Manage and maintain geological databases to support reporting and operational decision-making.
• Conduct field mapping and geological data collection activities in accordance with operational requirements.
• Prepare geological reports, technical presentations, and resource documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to geological data management and resource evaluation processes.
• Collaborate with mine planning, exploration, and technical teams to support operational objectives.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and geological reporting guidelines.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, Earth Science, or a related discipline from a reputable institution.

Legal Requirement

• MINCOM Statutory Certification for Geologist or eligibility to obtain certification.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• Minimum of three (3) years’ post-qualification working experience in a related role within the mining industry.
• Sound understanding of geostatistics and QAQC principles.
• Experience in database management and field mapping operations.
• Basic understanding of macro and scripting editing in Datamine.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary technical teams.
• Valid Ghanaian Driving Licence with the ability to operate a light vehicle.
