Role Purpose

The Social Media Management Intern will manage and grow the company’s online presence across key digital platforms while supporting brand engagement and audience growth initiatives. The successful candidate will create compelling content, manage online interactions, track social media performance, and contribute to building a strong and engaging digital brand voice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of the company’s LinkedIn, Instagram, and X social media accounts.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly social media content calendar.
  • Create engaging written content, graphics, short videos, carousels, stories, and other digital content formats.
  • Write compelling social media copy that reflects the company’s professional and approachable brand voice.
  • Monitor comments, direct messages, and mentions while engaging promptly with the online community.
  • Research and apply relevant hashtags, trends, and topics within the African HR and technology ecosystem.
  • Track and report weekly social media metrics including engagement, reach, followers, and click-through performance.
  • Repurpose blog articles, founder insights, and company updates into engaging social media content.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support brand awareness and audience growth strategies.

Educational Qualification

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Media, or a related field will be an advantage.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in social media platforms, especially LinkedIn.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or similar creative software.
  • Good understanding of digital engagement strategies and online brand management.
  • Strong creativity and ability to produce engaging digital content.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.

Added Advantage

  • Background or interest in startups or technology companies.
  • Understanding of the HR industry or recruitment technology space.
  • Previous experience in content creation or digital marketing.
