Job Purpose

The Software Engineering Director leads and guides software engineering teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions across projects. The role provides strategic and technical leadership, develops scalable engineering processes, mentors engineers at all levels, and ensures successful delivery of complex software systems across distributed teams.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage software engineering teams across multiple projects and locations.

• Provide technical guidance on architecture, design, development, and cloud deployment of software systems.

• Oversee the development and maintenance of .NET applications and cloud-based solutions on platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Implement and scale CI/CD pipelines, containerized applications, and modern software development practices.

• Establish and refine engineering processes to support efficiency, quality, and team scalability.

• Design programs to support skill development and growth of junior engineers and early-career talent.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and international stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

• Monitor engineering metrics, track progress, and report on project status and performance to senior leadership.

• Promote a culture of engineering excellence, innovation, and accountability within the organization.

• Stay up to date with emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices to inform technical strategies.

Educational Requirements & Experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in engineering management or technical leadership roles.

• Proven expertise in .NET development and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP).

• Strong experience with containers, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.

• Demonstrated track record of leading engineering teams and delivering complex production systems.

• Experience scaling engineering teams and implementing effective development processes.

• Experience designing programs for junior engineers or early-career talent pipelines.

• Experience working on international projects with distributed teams and multi-country stakeholders.

• Strong English communication, leadership, and team influence skills.
