Job Description
MPower Ventures is a pan-African, venture-backed start-up leading the change in clean energy innovation (www.mpower.africa). We are transforming the renewable energy landscape by deploying cutting-edge solar solutions that empower households and businesses across Africa.
As we expand, we are seeking a dynamic, entrepreneurial Sales Manager to drive sales and business development for our solar solutions nationwide.
The Sales Manager will report directly to the Country Manager and is strictly responsible for generating reliable leads and driving sales across the Ghanaian territory. The role’s owner will focus on business development and sales performance, collaborating closely with the Technical Team to ensure all technical information delivered to clients are accurate; and deliver top efficient after-sales services to the customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and sell solar products and solutions to residential, commercial, and industrial clients.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients and assess their energy needs.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing ongoing support and exceptional customer service throughout the sales and after-sales processes.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Educate clients on the benefits and usage of solar energy systems, promoting sustainable energy practices.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions, and analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
- Prepare regular sales and performance reports for management review.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a sales/business development role.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Mandatory: Strong background and experience in selling technical products.
- Advantageous: Experience with solar systems or related renewable energy products.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
