We are seeking a skilled, compassionate, and detail-oriented Sonographer to join our diagnostic imaging team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing accurate ultrasound examinations that support physicians in making informed clinical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

As a Sonographer, you will:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established clinical protocols and safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Review patient information, medical history, and examination requests to determine appropriate imaging procedures.
  • Prepare and position patients appropriately while ensuring their comfort and privacy throughout the procedure.
  • Explain ultrasound procedures to patients and provide reassurance where necessary.
  • Capture, analyse, and document accurate ultrasound findings for review by medical practitioners.
  • Ensure all patient records, reports, and imaging documentation are completed accurately and securely.
  • Maintain strict compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and healthcare quality standards.
  • Collaborate with doctors, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support effective patient care.
  • Perform routine quality checks on equipment and report technical issues promptly.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in line with healthcare regulations and professional ethics.
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities to enhance clinical knowledge and technical skills.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicants should have:

  • A recognised qualification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Medical Imaging, Radiography, or a related healthcare discipline.
  • Relevant professional certification and registration with the appropriate healthcare regulatory body.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of practical experience as a Sonographer is preferred.
  • Experience performing a range of ultrasound examinations, including obstetric, abdominal, pelvic, and general diagnostic scans.
  • Good knowledge of ultrasound techniques, patient care practices, and medical imaging procedures.
