Position Summary
Tomreik Hotel is seeking a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and ensuring consistent delivery of high-quality culinary experiences. The successful candidate will oversee food preparation, supervise kitchen staff, maintain hygiene standards, and ensure efficient kitchen operations.
The role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a commitment to maintaining exceptional food quality and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in managing daily kitchen operations and food production.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure efficient workflow and task coordination.
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and portion control standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock control and procurement planning.
- Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and organization.
- Assist in menu planning, development, and seasonal updates.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve performance and skills.
- Ensure timely delivery of meals while maintaining quality standards.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to enhance guest dining experiences.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar culinary supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and culinary best practices.
- Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and supervise kitchen staff effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Creativity and passion for culinary excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
