Speech & Language Therapist (Full-Time)

Location: Accra, Ghana

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and motivated Speech & Language Therapist to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting individuals with communication, speech, language, and feeding needs in a collaborative and supportive clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using evidence-based assessment tools.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programmes tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and adults with communication and feeding challenges.
  • Monitor client progress, evaluate therapy outcomes, and adjust intervention plans where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records, assessment reports, therapy notes, and treatment plans in accordance with professional standards.
  • Work collaboratively with psychologists, occupational therapists, educators, caregivers, and other professionals to provide holistic care.
  • Educate and support families, caregivers, and teachers by providing practical strategies to reinforce therapy goals.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to integrated intervention planning.
  • Ensure compliance with ethical, professional, and regulatory standards governing speech and language therapy practice.
  • Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in professional development activities.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Management within the scope of the role.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Registration with the appropriate professional or regulatory body, where applicable.
  • Experience working with children and individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental language disorders, and other communication needs, will be an advantage.
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing abilities.
  • Compassionate, patient-centred, and family-focused approach to service delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
