Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders using evidence-based assessment tools.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy programmes tailored to each client’s needs and goals.
- Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy services to children and adults with communication and feeding challenges.
- Monitor client progress, evaluate therapy outcomes, and adjust intervention plans where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, assessment reports, therapy notes, and treatment plans in accordance with professional standards.
- Work collaboratively with psychologists, occupational therapists, educators, caregivers, and other professionals to provide holistic care.
- Educate and support families, caregivers, and teachers by providing practical strategies to reinforce therapy goals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and contribute to integrated intervention planning.
- Ensure compliance with ethical, professional, and regulatory standards governing speech and language therapy practice.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives and participate in professional development activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by Management within the scope of the role.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
- Registration with the appropriate professional or regulatory body, where applicable.
- Experience working with children and individuals with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, developmental language disorders, and other communication needs, will be an advantage.
- Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic intervention skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and report-writing abilities.
- Compassionate, patient-centred, and family-focused approach to service delivery.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
