Position Purpose
The Swap Station Assistant will support the daily operations of the battery swap station to ensure smooth service delivery, efficient battery management, and excellent customer experience. The role involves monitoring battery inventory, tracking charging cycles, maintaining safety standards, and supporting accurate operational reporting.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring station readiness, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Station Operations Support
- Carry out daily operational activities at the battery swap station as directed by the Station Supervisor.
- Support smooth station workflow to ensure timely and efficient battery swapping services.
- Assist in maintaining an organized, clean, and safe station environment.
Battery Inventory and Monitoring
- Record and update battery inventory accurately on a daily basis.
- Monitor battery charging cycles to ensure batteries are fully charged and ready for use.
- Track battery availability and report shortages or irregularities promptly.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of batteries in line with operational guidelines.
Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service to all station users in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist customers with battery swapping procedures and basic inquiries.
- Ensure a positive customer experience at every point of interaction.
- Escalate complex customer issues to the supervisor when necessary.
Safety and Compliance
- Follow all safety and operational procedures at the station.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety guidelines and workplace standards.
- Report any safety hazards, equipment faults, or incidents immediately.
- Use protective equipment and adhere strictly to safety protocols.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of station activities, battery usage, and operational data.
- Document incident reports, operational challenges, and resource needs.
- Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly station performance reports.
- Ensure proper filing and organization of station records.
Qualifications and Experience
Education
- WASSCE certificate or Technical Certificate in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Experience
- 1–2 years of experience in a similar operational, technical, or customer service role.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems or battery technologies is an advantage.
- Experience in station operations or logistics support is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Technical and Operational Skills
- Basic knowledge of electrical or battery systems.
- Ability to monitor equipment and maintain operational records accurately.
- Understanding of basic safety procedures in technical environments.
- Ability to follow operational instructions and standard procedures.
Communication and Customer Service Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide clear instructions and support to customers.
- Strong reporting skills with ability to document station activities accurately.
- Ability to read and write effectively.
