Position Summary

We are seeking a results-oriented and inspiring Team Lead to oversee the performance of a Credit and Sales team, ensuring the achievement of business objectives while maintaining excellent portfolio quality and customer service. The successful candidate will provide leadership, coaching, and operational support to team members, driving productivity and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate, and supervise a team to achieve business growth, portfolio quality, and operational targets.
  • Coach and mentor team members to improve sales performance, customer engagement, and professional development.
  • Monitor individual and team performance, providing regular feedback and performance support.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support portfolio growth while maintaining high standards of portfolio quality and risk management.
  • Review and monitor loan applications and portfolio performance to ensure sound credit practices.
  • Promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct field visits and provide on-the-job coaching to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Prepare performance reports and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Foster collaboration, accountability, and a customer-focused culture within the team.
  • Support management in implementing strategic initiatives and continuous improvement activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Banking, or a related field.
  • Minimum of twenty-four (24) months of successful experience as a Credit Relationship Officer (CRO) at Advans Ghana Savings and Loans Ltd.
  • Strong knowledge of company policies, operational procedures, sales techniques, and financial products.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and managing a high-quality loan portfolio.
  • Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop colleagues through field support and performance guidance.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
