Role Overview

The Technical Training Instructor (Electrical Engineering) will design and deliver high-impact training programs that bridge theory and practical application. The role focuses on developing industry-relevant curriculum, facilitating hands-on learning, and supporting business growth through client engagement and training excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery & Curriculum Development

  • Design and deliver structured electrical engineering training programs from basic to advanced levels.
  • Facilitate in-house, virtual, and on-site training sessions.
  • Develop, review, and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and assessments.
  • Ensure all content aligns with industry standards, safety regulations, and emerging technologies.

Client Engagement & Business Development

  • Support the promotion and marketing of training programs.
  • Identify client training needs and recommend tailored solutions.
  • Assist in converting inquiries into confirmed training engagements.
  • Contribute to achieving enrollment and revenue targets through effective upselling and cross-selling.

Practical Training & Industry Application

  • Supervise hands-on training in electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Facilitate workshop sessions while enforcing strict safety protocols.
  • Integrate real-world case studies and problem-solving exercises into training delivery.

Assessment & Reporting

  • Conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to measure learning outcomes.
  • Prepare comprehensive training reports, including participant performance and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications, and attendance.

Mentorship & Career Development

  • Provide ongoing technical guidance and mentorship to trainees.
  • Support career development initiatives and encourage continuous professional growth.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce electrical safety standards and health regulations across all training activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments and proactively identify training-related hazards.
  • Ensure all training equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with standards.

Data Protection & Administration

  • Maintain confidentiality of trainee information and training materials.
  • Support documentation, filing, and inventory management of training resources.
  • Conduct periodic stock-taking of training tools and equipment.

Quality Management

  • Support commercial training planning, execution, and asset management processes.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), ERP systems, and quality standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in electrical engineering or technical training.
  • Prior teaching or instructional experience is highly desirable.
  • Certifications in electrical safety or training delivery are an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards, codes, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and instructional delivery skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct.
  • Adaptability to evolving technologies and modern training methodologies.
