Role:

Reporting to the Engineering and Projects Director,

The Industrial Applications Manager will be responsible for collaborating with the R&D and Industrial Departments to implement new technological processes or adapt existing ones across internal and external production lines. This role ensures that all applications align with the quality standards and cost objectives set by the General Operations Management or COO.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing projects for new installations or changes to existing technological processes.
  • Support the Functional Operations Departments involved during the implementation phases of various projects, ensuring product manufacturing meets safety, quality, and cost objectives.
  • Collaborate with R&D and Industrial Departments by following Engineering Department guidelines in the application and testing of innovation projects that involve changes in product technology.
  • Work with the Purchasing and R&D Departments to identify co-packers for industrial application of innovation projects requiring external production, ensuring they meet the technological requirements of the products.
  • Identify and propose to the Engineering and R&D Departments the necessary interventions to overcome potential issues preventing a co-packer from executing a project.
  • Collaborate with R&D in production start-up tests when needed, reporting results to the Engineering and R&D Departments.
  • Lead the necessary training processes, in collaboration with the Industrial and R&D Departments, for the start-up or modification of production lines for applicable projects.
  • Supervise training processes, in collaboration with R&D, for the start-up of co-packer production lines for applicable projects.

Requirements

Behavioral and Technical Skills

  • Must have a degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, chemical) or Food (Food Technology
  • At least a minimum of  7 years senior experience in a similar role or same role.
  • Strong knowledge of product technology, preferably in DRY FMCG products.
  • Ability to analyze test results and production data for decision-making.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technological installations.
  • Expertise in planning new installations and modifications to existing systems.
  • Understanding of product technology and innovation testing.
  • Ability to apply engineering guidelines in product development.
  • Willingness to travel.
