We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Transport Manager to lead and optimize our fleet and transport operations.

Job Summary

The Transport Manager will oversee all transport and fleet operations of the resort. The role ensures efficient vehicle utilization, compliance with regulatory requirements, cost control, and the delivery of safe, reliable, and high-quality transport services for staff and guests.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Manage daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, allocation, and dispatch.
• Monitor fuel usage, mileage, and overall transport operational costs to ensure efficiency.
• Develop, implement, and enforce systems to ensure compliance with all transport and vehicle regulations.
• Supervise and coordinate transport staff in line with organizational policies and procedures.
• Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Transport Department.
• Design systems that align transport operations with the resort’s vision, mission, and service excellence standards.
• Maintain effective communication systems with drivers and transport personnel to ensure smooth operations.
• Ensure drivers perform assigned duties safely, professionally, and efficiently.
• Monitor and verify the validity of driver licenses, vehicle registrations, permits, and insurance documentation.
• Track all vehicle movements, mileage, and daily usage records accurately.
• Control and monitor fuel consumption and transport-related expenditures, ensuring proper documentation.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fleet performance and transport activities.
• Ensure all vehicles remain clean, safe, and roadworthy at all times.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles and transport assets.
• Coordinate timely servicing and repairs to ensure optimal fleet performance and availability.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience in fleet operations, including electric vehicles and electric carts.
• A valid Driver’s License.
• Training or certification in Transport Management Systems is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in transport tracking software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
