Job Purpose
The Chef leads kitchen operations and delivers high-quality local and continental dishes that exceed guest expectations. The role ensures efficiency, creativity, food safety, and consistent culinary standards in line with the Hotel’s brand and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare, and present high-quality local and continental dishes.
Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate daily food preparation activities.
Maintain high standards of food hygiene, cleanliness, and safety.
Monitor food inventory and manage kitchen supplies efficiently.
Develop and update menus in line with guest preferences and seasonal availability.
Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during peak service periods.
Train and mentor kitchen staff to uphold culinary excellence.
Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations.
Educational & Professional Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef in a hotel or reputable restaurant.
Culinary training or certification is an advantage.
Strong leadership and kitchen management skills.
Good knowledge of local and continental dishes.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
High level of cleanliness and attention to detail.
Must be willing to work weekends and public holidays.
Must be willing to reside in Cape Coast (accommodation provided).
