Position Overview
The Purchasing Assistant Intern will support the procurement team in managing purchasing activities and supplier coordination. The successful candidate will gain hands-on experience in procurement operations, vendor communication, and inventory coordination within a professional manufacturing environment.
This internship provides an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or students to develop practical skills in procurement and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the procurement team in preparing purchase orders and tracking supplier deliveries.
Support supplier communication and documentation of procurement activities.
Maintain accurate records of purchase transactions and procurement documentation.
Assist in monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with internal departments.
Support the procurement team in vendor evaluation and sourcing activities.
Ensure proper filing and documentation of procurement records.
Assist in maintaining compliance with procurement procedures and company policies.
Educational Requirement
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Recent graduate or student seeking internship experience in procurement or supply chain operations.
Basic knowledge of procurement procedures will be an advantage.
Experience managing operations in a unionized environment (ICU) will be considered an advantage.
