Job Purpose

The Environmental Education Programmes Manager leads the design, delivery, and growth of environmental education initiatives. The role strengthens community engagement, builds strategic partnerships, and promotes sustainable practices among learners, educators, and volunteers.


Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage environmental education programmes aligned with organizational goals.

  • Develop engaging learning content and activities that promote environmental awareness and action.

  • Work closely with learners, teachers, and community volunteers to deliver impactful programmes.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with organizations, institutions, and stakeholders within the environmental education sector.

  • Lead collaborative initiatives and foster relationships that enhance programme reach and impact.

  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on programme effectiveness and outcomes.

  • Support capacity-building initiatives for educators and community leaders involved in environmental programmes.

  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement in programme delivery.

  • Represent the organization in relevant forums, networks, and partnerships related to environmental education.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required to support programme growth and organizational objectives.


Educational Requirements

  • Demonstrated high-level experience in environmental education and sustainability initiatives.

  • Proven experience working with learners, teachers, and community volunteers.

  • Strong background in developing partnerships and collaborative relationships within the environmental education sector.

  • A degree in Environmental Studies, Education, Development Studies, or a related field is an advantage.
