Role Overview

The Seaming MIG Welder is responsible for performing MIG welding operations to join metal components with strong, precise seams. The role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards to ensure durable and high-quality welds.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate MIG welding equipment to perform seaming and join metal components accurately.
• Interpret technical drawings and welding specifications to execute precise welds.
• Inspect welds for quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
• Prepare materials, clean surfaces, and set up equipment for welding operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on welding equipment.
• Identify and report defects, welding faults, or equipment issues promptly.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to meet project deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• SHS, Diploma, or HND in Welding, Fabrication, or a relevant technical field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in MIG welding, particularly seaming operations.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding specifications.
