Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Supervisor, Gold Room to lead gold recovery operations and ensure safe, efficient, and secure processing activities. You will play a critical role in maintaining production targets, enforcing security protocols, and delivering operational excellence within the Gold Room.

As Part of Our Team, You Will:

• Coordinate production and shipment schedules with Finance and Security teams to meet refinery targets
• Ensure the safe and efficient operation of Gold Room, gold recovery, CIL, and Elution equipment
• Plan and allocate personnel, equipment, and consumables to support seamless operations
• Enforce strict security procedures to minimize risks of gold loss or theft
• Maintain accurate metallurgical accounting records and balanced production databases
• Liaise with external stakeholders to ensure timely transportation of gold products
• Prepare shift reports, work requests, and requisitions for consumables and supplies
• Report production variances, hazards, operational restrictions, and corrective actions promptly
• Conduct routine inspections of operating areas, equipment, and housekeeping standards
• Support troubleshooting efforts and coordinate closely with maintenance teams
• Notify management promptly of production challenges and operational risks
• Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Oversee health monitoring requirements for Gold Room personnel in line with safety standards

Your Training, Skills, and Experience Checklist

Formal Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemistry, or a related field
• Valid Process Officer’s Certificate of Competency from the Minerals Commission (MINCOM)

Additional Knowledge

• Demonstrate advanced operational and technical expertise in mineral processing
• Apply in-depth knowledge of processing plant equipment and industry standards
• Understand gold recovery processes and metallurgical accounting systems

Experience

• Accumulate 8–10 years of experience in metalliferous mining
• Gain at least 5 years of experience in Gold Room operations or processing
• Demonstrate 3–5 years of supervisory experience managing diverse teams

Technical Skills

• Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills in operational environments
• Communicate effectively and build strong working relationships
• Utilize advanced computer skills, including MS Office and SAP systems
• Plan, organize, and prioritize tasks efficiently to meet production targets
• Lead teams effectively with strong decision-making, coaching, and mentoring abilities
• Manage projects, resolve conflicts, and drive change initiatives successfully

Working Conditions

This role is based at the Ahafo South Mine site and requires adherence to strict safety, operational, and security standards in a mining environment.
