Role Overview

We are seeking a committed and experienced Manager, Producer Support to strengthen our engagement with smallholder producers and producer groups in Ghana. In this role, you will lead support initiatives, foster trust and collaboration, and ensure that producers comply with sustainability and certification standards while enhancing their productivity and livelihoods.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to support smallholder producers, producer groups, and community-based organizations
  • Guide producers in adopting sustainable practices and meeting certification program requirements
  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with producers and stakeholders
  • Analyze and interpret data from various sources, aggregate information, and report on trends and outcomes
  • Conduct field visits and provide hands-on technical support to producers (minimum 50% field-based work annually)
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation on program activities and results
  • Utilize farm management technologies, GPS, and Microsoft Office applications to support monitoring and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to enhance program impact
  • Uphold the values, ethics, and standards of Rainforest Alliance in all activities

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Natural Resources, Forestry, Rural Development, Sociology, Economics, or a related field, plus at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working with smallholder producers, producer groups, or community-based organizations
  • Knowledge of certification programs and sustainability standards
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage pressure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and farm management technologies
  • Competency in GPS usage and data analysis
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
