Key Responsibilities

As a Property Manager, you will:

  • Oversee the daily operations of multiple commercial properties to ensure smooth functioning.
  • Maintain facilities, buildings, and common areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and fully operational.
  • Supervise maintenance staff, contractors, and service providers to guarantee timely repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Monitor electrical, plumbing, fire, and security systems, coordinating repairs or upgrades as needed.
  • Plan and manage renovations, refurbishments, office relocations, and property improvement projects.
  • Maintain inventories of tools, parts, and equipment, placing orders as required.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, fire, and security regulations.
  • Coordinate landscaping, cleaning, waste management, and other outsourced property services.
  • Market vacant properties, conduct inspections, and manage tenant on-boarding processes.
  • Prepare, administer, and manage lease agreements, renewals, and terminations.
  • Oversee rent collection, service charges, arrears follow-ups, and occupancy levels.
  • Manage tenant relations, address complaints, and implement satisfaction initiatives.
  • Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and conduct property and equipment audits.
  • Prepare and submit reports on property performance, leasing status, and maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate new building projects, facility expansions, and handovers.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide after-hours support as required.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams, contractors, and vendors.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of property, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent negotiation skills for leases, contracts, and service agreements.
  • Ability to set targets, manage budgets, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Minimum HND or equivalent qualification; a degree in Property or Facilities Management is an advantage.
  • Professional certification in property, facilities, or health and safety is a plus.
  • Familiarity with property management software and systems.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and a service-oriented mindset.
