Job Summary

The Deputy Head of Finance will support the Head of Finance in overseeing the organization’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment. The role requires a proactive leader who strengthens financial controls, delivers insightful analysis, and supports team development to drive overall financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and statutory obligations.
• Oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to align with organizational goals.
• Strengthen internal controls and implement effective risk management practices.
• Support and supervise finance team members to enhance performance and productivity.
• Collaborate with senior management to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities for efficiency and growth.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Timeliness and accuracy of financial statements.
• Quality and relevance of financial analysis provided to management.
• Compliance with regulatory submission timelines and standards.
• Strength of financial controls and risk management practices.
• Development and performance of supervised finance staff.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field is an advantage.
• Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, compliance, and risk management.
• Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
