Role Overview

We are looking for a strong leader who will design and execute effective recovery strategies, manage collection teams, and ensure optimal loan portfolio performance. The ideal candidate will combine analytical thinking, negotiation skills, and leadership capability to reduce non-performing loans and improve recovery outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

As a Recovery Manager, you will:

  • Design and implement recovery strategies for delinquent and written-off loan portfolios.
  • Supervise collection officers, set KPIs, and ensure performance targets are consistently achieved.
  • Monitor credit risk trends and recommend proactive measures to reduce non-performing loans (NPLs).
  • Oversee legal recovery processes, including litigation, auctions, and settlement negotiations.
  • Generate and present daily, weekly, and monthly recovery performance and portfolio reports.
  • Collaborate with branch managers, legal teams, and external recovery agents to improve outcomes.
  • Develop, review, and update recovery policies, guidelines, and training materials.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of Department or direct supervisor.

Qualification & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in loan recovery or credit collections.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Good understanding of credit laws and banking regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • Proficiency in recovery systems and reporting tools.
