Position Summary

The Feed Mill Maintenance Officer ensures the efficient operation, reliability, and safety of all feed mill equipment and infrastructure. The role focuses on implementing maintenance strategies, minimizing downtime, and supporting production through proactive technical leadership.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective feed mill maintenance procedures and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Oversee the proper operation and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, and facility systems.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute all repair and technical maintenance activities.
  • Allocate tasks and supervise maintenance staff to ensure timely and high-quality work delivery.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and performance of maintenance team members.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar role within a busy commercial or industrial environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of accountability.
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and mentor team members effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse workforce.
  • High level of energy, adaptability, and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
