Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Control Systems Engineer to lead and support the design, implementation, and maintenance of control and automation systems across our operations. In this role, you will ensure optimal system performance, reliability, and efficiency within a mining or heavy industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain control systems for plant operations.
• Program, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC systems, including Schneider Modicon, Siemens, and Allen Bradley platforms.
• Manage and maintain SCADA systems, ensuring accurate monitoring and control of operations.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in control systems, instrumentation, and industrial networks.
• Support the integration of automation systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve efficiency and reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support operational goals and project delivery.
• Maintain documentation of control systems, configurations, and updates.

Educational Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.

Experience and Technical Requirements

• Minimum of 7–10 years’ experience in control systems engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in PLC programming and control system management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Schneider Modicon, Siemens, and Allen Bradley PLCs.
• Extensive experience with Olect SCADA systems.
• Advanced expertise in Profibus DP and Ethernet industrial networks.
• Proven experience in mining or heavy industrial environments.
