Role Overview
The Maintenance Planner – Light Vehicle plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, availability, and efficiency of the site’s light vehicle fleet. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities in line with OEM standards and operational requirements, while maintaining a strong commitment to safety and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance activities for light vehicles.
- Develop and maintain maintenance plans in accordance with OEM guidelines (e.g., Toyota, Nissan, Ford).
- Coordinate with maintenance teams, supervisors, and operations to optimize fleet availability.
- Monitor fleet performance and analyze maintenance data to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
- Ensure accurate documentation of maintenance activities within CMMS systems (SAP/JDE PM preferred).
- Track work orders, backlog, and maintenance KPIs to support continuous improvement.
- Manage spare parts requirements and collaborate with procurement to ensure timely availability.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives related to fleet maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in fleet maintenance planning or workshop operations.
- Proven experience with light vehicle maintenance in mining, construction, or industrial environments.
- Familiarity with OEM maintenance standards (e.g., Toyota, Nissan, Ford).
- Experience using CMMS systems, with preference for SAP or JDE PM.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong safety mindset with a commitment to zero harm.
