We are seeking a results-oriented Sales and Marketing Manager to lead our revenue growth strategy, strengthen client relationships, and drive market expansion.


POSITION OVERVIEW

The Sales and Marketing Manager will lead the development and execution of strategic sales and marketing initiatives to achieve organizational growth objectives. The role requires a dynamic leader with strong technical insurance knowledge, proven sales leadership experience, and the ability to build high-performing teams and sustainable client portfolios.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth

  • Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Drive premium generation and revenue growth across all business lines
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand the company’s client base and geographic reach
  • Oversee the execution of targeted campaigns to increase brand visibility and market penetration

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and continuous support to enhance team performance
  • Define, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team
  • Monitor individual and team performance to ensure consistent achievement of targets
  • Implement best practices to improve sales efficiency and productivity

Client Relationship & Portfolio Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate and high-value clients
  • Oversee the management of complex and cross-border risk portfolios
  • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction, retention, and long-term engagement
  • Strengthen strategic partnerships with insurers and industry stakeholders

Market Intelligence & Business Expansion

  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities and performance gaps
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve sales outcomes
  • Lead initiatives for market expansion and diversification of revenue streams

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure strict compliance with the regulations of the National Insurance Commission (NIC) and other relevant regulatory bodies
  • Maintain adherence to industry standards and internal governance frameworks

Resource & Performance Optimization

  • Allocate resources efficiently to maximize return on investment (ROI)
  • Monitor budget utilization and ensure cost-effective execution of strategies
  • Present regular performance reports and strategic insights to senior management

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Insurance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional insurance qualification (minimum Diploma in Insurance – GIC or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience, including at least 3 years in a middle management role
  • Proven track record in premium generation, technical insurance placement, and client portfolio management
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing and sales strategies
  • Experience managing cross-border risk portfolios is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks within the insurance and financial services sector
