The Role

The HR Superintendent leads core human resource functions, ensuring effective performance management, compliance, employee relations, and staff development. This role works closely with management to strengthen HR systems, support organizational growth, and maintain a fair and productive workplace.

The successful candidate drives HR excellence while upholding strong ethical standards and fostering positive employee engagement.


Key Responsibilities

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Coordinate the annual performance management cycle, including target setting and evaluations
  • Prepare, analyze, and present HR metrics to support decision-making
  • Maintain accurate and timely HR reports for the Admin & HR Manager

Disciplinary & Governance Processes

  • Participate in Disciplinary Committee proceedings and ensure proper documentation
  • Record meetings and prepare official reports and correspondence
  • Ensure consistent and fair application of disciplinary procedures in line with company policy and labour laws

Training & Development

  • Support the design and implementation of training programs and HR policy awareness initiatives
  • Assist in delivering training aligned with organizational needs and RSPO Standard Operating Procedures

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

  • Serve as Chairman of the School Management Committee for Socfinaf D/A Basic School
  • Participate in quarterly meetings and contribute to community engagement initiatives

Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with RSPO standards and ISO 14001:2015 requirements
  • Promote safe work practices and environmental sustainability across operations
  • Enforce PPE usage and adherence to safety protocols
  • Report incidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions promptly
  • Participate in safety training, toolbox meetings, and incident investigations

Other Duties

  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor

Education & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., CHIRM, PHRi) is required

Experience

  • Minimum of six (6) years’ post–National Service experience in HR management

Technical Competencies

  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong knowledge of Ghana Labour Laws
  • Experience in training design and facilitation
  • Solid understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
