Job Summary

Kasapreko PLC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Clearing Supervisor to oversee and manage all customs clearing and freight forwarding activities. The successful candidate will ensure timely clearance of shipments, compliance with regulatory requirements, and efficient coordination with key stakeholders across the supply chain.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all customs clearing activities to ensure timely release of goods.
  • Manage import and export documentation in compliance with Ghana Customs regulations.
  • Liaise with clearing agents, port authorities, transporters, and logistics service providers.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve clearance delays or discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate application of duties, tariffs, and Incoterms.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GCNet/ICUMS systems and port operations.
  • Prepare reports on clearing activities, costs, and performance metrics.
  • Lead and guide the clearing team to achieve operational efficiency.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards across all clearing and logistics operations.

Requirements

Skills and Attributes:

  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of Ghana Customs procedures, including GCNet/ICUMS systems and port operations.
  • Exhibit solid understanding of import/export processes, documentation, Incoterms, duties, and tariffs.
  • Show proven experience working with clearing agents, transporters, and logistics providers.
  • Use Microsoft Excel and basic logistics/ERP systems effectively.
  • Communicate clearly and coordinate tasks efficiently across teams.
  • Troubleshoot clearance issues and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity and adapt quickly to regulatory changes.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Champion safety at all levels of operation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5–6 years’ experience in customs clearing, freight forwarding, or port operations in Ghana, preferably within the beverage or manufacturing industry.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CILT, FIATA) is an added advantage.
  • Valid Ghanaian driver’s license is an advantage.
