Job Summary

The Steward plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and organization within the kitchen and food service areas. The successful candidate ensures that all utensils, equipment, and workspaces meet the highest standards, contributing to a safe and efficient environment for both staff and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils
• Wash and properly store dishes, glassware, and kitchen tools
• Support kitchen and service staff with daily operational tasks
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain cleanliness of waste disposal areas
• Assist in receiving and storing supplies in an organized manner
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed
• Contribute to a safe, organized, and welcoming work environment

Qualifications and Requirements

• HND, Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field
• 2–4 years of relevant work experience in a similar role
• Good understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards
