Role Overview

International Community School Ghana is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Physics Teacher to deliver engaging and rigorous instruction at IGCSE and A-Level. The successful candidate will inspire curiosity in science, support academic excellence, and help students achieve outstanding results in Physics.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Physics curriculum.
  • Develop clear learning objectives and apply differentiated instructional strategies to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to track student progress and understanding.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support continuous academic improvement.
  • Prepare students effectively for A-Level examinations through structured revision and targeted practice.
  • Integrate in-class activities with online resources to create an effective blended learning environment.
  • Set appropriate, challenging, and realistic expectations based on students’ prior achievement.
  • Identify students requiring additional support and provide targeted intervention or referrals as needed.
  • Manage individual, group, and whole-class learning effectively using appropriate teaching strategies.
  • Develop and use high-quality teaching materials and resources through research and innovation.
  • Inspire enthusiasm for Physics and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • Promote positive behavior and build strong, respectful relationships with students.
  • Set appropriate homework in line with school policy and student workload.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) in Physics or related discipline (minimum requirement).
  • Master’s degree in Physics or related field is an advantage.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum up to A-Level.
  • Proven track record of strong student performance and academic success at A-Level.
  • Strong subject mastery and ability to deliver high-quality Physics instruction.

  • Strong lesson planning and classroom delivery skills with consistently high-quality outcomes.
