Position Summary
The Art Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction in Art across secondary school levels, including Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes. The successful candidate will create an engaging classroom environment that encourages creativity, critical thinking, and artistic expression while supporting students to achieve outstanding academic outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Art lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Prepare students effectively for Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and creative classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement.
- Encourage students’ artistic development through practical and theoretical learning experiences.
- Organize exhibitions, projects, and co-curricular art activities that promote student creativity.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
- Maintain high professional and ethical teaching standards at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree with a Fine Art option.
- A Master’s degree qualification in Art is preferred.
- At least five (5) years of teaching experience in Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level programmes with a proven record of student success.
- Teaching certification in the Cambridge curriculum is desirable.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated passion for creativity, innovation, and student-centered learning.
