Role Purpose

The Senior Buyer leads procurement activities by developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. The role strengthens supply chain efficiency and supports uninterrupted production operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sourcing and procurement strategies to support operational needs.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favourable pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
  • Manage and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
  • Ensure procurement activities remain cost-effective and aligned with approved budgets.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing developments, and supplier performance to inform procurement decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records, reports, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Ghana procurement regulations and company procurement policies.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Qualification & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Good understanding of Ghana procurement regulations and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and procurement management systems.
