The Role
Palladium is seeking an experienced and dynamic Communication Strategist to join our team in Accra. In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives that strengthen stakeholder engagement, enhance brand visibility, and support programme objectives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in crafting compelling narratives, managing communication campaigns, and ensuring consistent messaging across multiple platforms and audiences.
Key Responsibilities
As a Communication Strategist, you will:
- Develop and implement strategic communication plans aligned with organisational goals and programme objectives.
- Create compelling content for digital platforms, publications, presentations, reports, and stakeholder communications.
- Manage communication campaigns that increase public awareness, stakeholder engagement, and brand visibility.
- Support media relations activities, including press releases, media briefings, and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
- Monitor communication performance metrics and provide insights to improve engagement and outreach strategies.
- Ensure all communication materials reflect Palladium’s values, brand standards, and professional quality expectations.
- Support event communications, public engagement initiatives, and strategic partnerships where required.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging communication practices to enhance organisational visibility and impact.
Qualifications and Experience
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, International Development, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, media relations, or corporate communications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience developing communication campaigns and managing content across multiple platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong organisational and project management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital communication tools.
- Experience within development, consulting, NGO, or international project environments will be an advantage.
