Role Overview

SourceOne seeks a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive strategic growth initiatives. The role identifies new business opportunities, develops competitive proposals, and builds and sustains strong relationships with clients and partners across government, private sector, and development organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to support organizational growth objectives
• Develop, prepare, and submit high-quality business proposals and bids
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders
• Lead negotiations to secure profitable contracts and partnerships
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to design tailored solutions for clients
• Manage the end-to-end business development cycle, from lead generation to contract closure
• Ensure compliance with public procurement processes and donor requirements where applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Supply Chain, Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, consulting, or a related commercial role
• Strong proposal writing, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Solid knowledge of public procurement processes and frameworks
• Proven ability to build and maintain professional client relationships
• Strong analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and deliver under pressure
