Position Overview

We are seeking motivated and ambitious individuals to join our team as Business Development Representative (Trainee). This role is designed for individuals who are eager to build a strong foundation in sales and business development. You will receive structured training, hands-on experience, and continuous mentorship while actively supporting the sales team in generating and qualifying business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and understand company products, services, and target markets through structured training programs.
  • Support the sales team by conducting outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and digital outreach.
  • Identify and qualify inbound leads and schedule meetings for senior sales representatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and prospect information within CRM systems.
  • Participate actively in team meetings, training sessions, and sales strategy discussions.
  • Develop strong communication and negotiation skills to effectively engage prospects and clients.
  • Assist in building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline through consistent follow-ups and engagement activities.
  • Contribute to achieving team sales goals through disciplined execution of assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent qualification; a Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Strong interest in building a career in sales, business development, or client relations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable engaging in cold calling and initiating conversations with potential clients.
  • Basic computer literacy with familiarity in MS Office or Google Workspace.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to challenges and tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, telemarketing, or related fields is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
