Position Overview

We are seeking a responsible and hardworking Head Labourer / Head Cleaner to supervise cleaning and basic maintenance activities within assigned facilities. You will lead a small team to ensure cleanliness, orderliness, and hygiene standards are consistently maintained across offices, workshops, and learning environments.

You will play a key role in supporting a safe, clean, and well-organized institutional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning and basic labour activities within assigned facilities
• Ensure offices, classrooms, workshops, and common areas are cleaned and maintained to required standards
• Assign tasks to team members and monitor performance to ensure quality service delivery
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies
• Support waste management and proper disposal procedures in line with safety standards
• Report maintenance issues and facility concerns to relevant authorities promptly
• Maintain hygiene and sanitation standards across all assigned areas
• Support minor manual labour tasks as required by the institution
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines

Requirements

Education

• SSSCE / WASSCE certificate

Experience

• Minimum of 6 years relevant experience in cleaning, labour work, or facility support services

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid Ghana Card
• Medical fitness certificate issued by a Government Medical Officer
• At least two (2) verifiable professional references
• National Service Certificate (where applicable)
