Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Mining Engineer to support and optimize mining operations within our hard rock mining environment. The successful candidate will contribute to mine planning, production efficiency, grade control, and quality assurance processes while ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of mining operations
• Monitor mining activities to ensure operational efficiency and productivity targets are achieved
• Conduct mine design, production scheduling, and operational analysis
• Implement and monitor grade control and QA/QC procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational standards
• Collaborate with geology, production, and technical teams to optimize mining performance
• Analyze operational data and provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Prepare technical reports, production updates, and operational documentation
• Assist in identifying operational risks and implementing mitigation strategies
• Support cost-effective and sustainable mining practices

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field
• Mine Captain Certificate of Competency will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 7 years’ relevant mining experience in mining operations
• Experience in manganese or other hard rock mining operations
• Proven experience in grade control and QA/QC processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary mining environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
