Role Overview
As a Warehouse Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the accurate receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business operations by ensuring materials and products are properly managed, accounted for, and readily available when needed.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials, products, and supplies.
- Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of inventory within the warehouse.
- Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory reconciliations.
- Prepare and process goods for dispatch in accordance with company procedures.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of deliveries.
- Ensure all inventory transactions are accurately documented and updated.
- Monitor inventory movements and report discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, safety, and organization standards.
- Implement and follow warehouse procedures and inventory control measures.
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and logistics teams to ensure efficient stock management.
- Prepare warehouse, inventory, and stock movement reports for management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
You should possess:
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management
- Business Administration
- Operations Management
- Or a related field
Experience
You should have:
- A minimum of two (2) to four (4) years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or a related role.
- Practical experience in stock control, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse administration.
- Experience working with warehouse management systems or inventory software will be an advantage.
Additional Requirement
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately complete inventory records, operational documents, and warehouse reports.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Competencies
- Inventory and stock management.
- Warehouse operations and logistics coordination.
- Stock reconciliation and inventory control.
- Record keeping and documentation.
- Warehouse safety and compliance practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience with inventory management systems is an advantage.
