Position Summary
We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Technical and Machine Operators to join our production team at the Tema factory. This role supports the continuous operation of production lines to deliver high-quality products in accordance with strict safety, hygiene, and quality standards.
As part of Nestlé’s commitment to operational excellence, including the introduction of an all-female production line, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient machine operation, product consistency, and compliance with all manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment in accordance with Quality Management Systems (QMS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards to protect yourself, your colleagues, and production equipment.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements.
- Perform start-up, running, cleaning, inspection, lubrication, center lining, changeover, maintenance, and shutdown of assigned machinery.
- Monitor and control operational parameters to ensure consistent product quality and efficiency.
- Follow production plans and ensure correct material usage, including adherence to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) principles.
- Support routine equipment maintenance and report technical issues promptly.
- Complete accurate production documentation to ensure traceability and compliance.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards across the production area at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
Qualifications and Experience
- Preferred: Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Technical Operations.
- Minimum requirement: At least two (2) years of production experience, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of production line operations and industrial equipment handling.
- Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards will be an advantage.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures accurately.
